Vermillion Innovates a Unique Virtual  Platform In Place of  Traditional “Hands-On”  iNARTE® Learning
August 29, 2021   Moffett Field, California

Since 2014, the iNARTE® Aerospace & Defense ESD Training™ developed exclusively by Bob Vermillion, CEO/Founder of RMV Technology Group LLC, a NASA Industry partner, has held the 5-day “Hands-On” Instrument driven program at NASA Ames Research Center. Participants from the USA include NASA, the Department of Defense, the Department of Energy and support contractors.

Held once every two years in early Spring, the 2020 training had been cancelled repeatedly during the pandemic.  One delay after another and the decision was finally made to go “Virtual” over a year later. Because the “Hands-On” program has been so successful for RMV, the participants did not believe  that Virtual Training would ever replace  RMV “Hands On” Training.

Originated by Bob Vermillion over 12 years ago, the “hands on” training was initially rolled out for the  Industrial Technology Department of UC San Luis Obispo.  RMV came out smiling after the iNARTE® Space & Defense “makeup” class.  Vermillion was awarded a “Certificate of Excellence” by NASA for his unique training style in a Live, Virtual platform tailored to learn how to protect ultra-sensitive devices and in extreme environmental conditions.

Since the initial “Hands On” Training in the early 2000s, the Industry has followed in Vermillion’s footsteps.  Today, the trend is to embed a webinar platform –  called out as “Virtual” - that has  led to the disappointment by many who seek alternative sources for learning  due to continuing travel restrictions.

The excellent reviews from last month’s  training  attest to the innovation and hard work by RMV in developing a unique and effective ESD “Hands-On” Virtual Training Program. Remote learning specific to this typ of customer was proven to be very effective for today’s remote training platform.

Above all, the most important “take away” is that ESD Integrity must be  traceable to Industry Standards unlike  current trends to rely upon Technical Reports (TRs) that only verify a sample on a desktop without traceability to any Industry Standards.  An effective ESD program today requires following Industry Standards such as ANSI/ESD Standards, NASA or Mil. STDs for traceability and to insure the  reliability of ultra-sensitive devices.
