Physically located onsite at NASA Ames Research Park since 2009, RMV is now the largest and most advanced ESD Materials and Packaging Test Facility on a a NASA site.

A foremost approved laboratory for Space & Defense, Automotive, Medical Device and Consumer Electronics, RMV supports NASA, DoD, DOE, DLA  to meet the robust requirements for low RH and extreme temperatures outside the EPA as required for  ESD Product Qualification, First Article Testing and Corrective Action Testing for Supplier Products, Packaging and Materials.  Test Methods include NASA, Mil.Std. and some relevant ANSI/ESD Standards that meet these requirements.  Testing to IEC Standards is very similar to ANSI/ESD Standards Testing and is conducted for EU customers upon request.

Bob Vermillion, a long standing member of the ESD Association Standards Committee and co-author of several Standards Groups is Founder and Co-Chair of  SAE G-19 Committee for ESD Packaging.  An active member of the NASA Interagency Group on ESD (IAWG-ESD), Vermillion is also an  ESD Subject Matter Expert for the DoD ESD Committee.

In 2019, Vermillion was inducted into the With induction into the DoD Military Packaging Hall of Fame to benefit the WarFighter, Vermillion is the only member of the ESD Association that is both a Certified Packaging Professional (CPP) and Fellow.
