Bob Vermillion is inducted in the Military Packaging Hall of Fame

In a special ceremony on 22 May, Bob Vermillion was inducted into the Military Packaging Hall of Fame by the Executive Director of National Packaging, Handling & Logistics Engineers (NIPHLE).
In 1999, Bob developed a Mars Mission Approved material for tribo electrification. Since 2002, upon placing first in the Electronics Category for the International Organization of Packaging Professionals (IOPP), USA Ameristar Award, Bob has continued to innnovate and contribute to the packaging engineering community on behalf of Industry from the consumer electronics to the medical device sector with a special emphasis upon providing technology advancements for the US Military and NASA.
As a trailblazing entrepreneur and industry leader, Bob is most passionate about his pioneering work in material technologies in support of advanced manufacturing and the handling of very sensitive electronics in space and hostile environments. From the mountains of Afghanistan to the shores of North Africa, the logistics specialist requires highly reliable packaging for long term storage that will perform in extreme temperatures and conditions.
From the consumer in the retail space to the operating room, and, ultimately, for the soldier in theatre, the long ignored subject of addressing packaging and materials as the first line of defense is in the forefront of Bob's developments for the future of the Warfighter from land to sea and into Space.
