- 8 November 2017
MOFFETT FIELD, CA. It was another great visit today from Bill Loewy, NASA HQ GIDEP Program Manager, accompanied by Jacqueline Nelson, Ames GIDEP Coordinator (AGC), Office of System, Safety & Mission Assurance Division (Code QS) to see the latest work conducted in the RMV laboratory for detection, avoidance and prevention of suspect counterfeits.
Most recently, Bob Vermillion, iNARTE Certified ESD & Product Safety Engineer (3rd from right), provided a NASA Advisory on the "Cordless Wriststrap" in collaboration with Langley Research Center (LaRC) and Armstrong Flight Research Center (AFRC) that can be downloaded on the NASA website and GIDEP (http://www.gidep.org/about/faq.htm). The full test report of the suspect counterfeit "cordless wriststrap" can be read on either website.
Or, a short video filmed in the RMV test laboratory can be seen below.
